Awami League won 10 posts including secretary in the bar election


On the other hand, Advocate Shah Manjurul Haque was elected from the Awami League and the government-backed Bangabandhu Awami Lawyer Parishad (white panel) for the post of secretary.
In the election, 10 candidates of the Awami League-backed Bangabandhu Awami Lawyer Parishad (white panel) won the posts of secretary, two vice-presidents, two deputy general secretaries, treasurer and members.
On the other hand, the candidates of BNP-Jamaat-backed Jatiyatavadi Lawyer Oikya (Blue) panel have won four positions including the president and three members.
On Saturday (March 9) at 1:30 pm, the convenor of the election management sub-committee, Bir Muktijodha senior lawyer Abul Khair, officially announced the results.
In the announced results, Mahbub Uddin Khokon won by getting 2 thousand 622 votes.
His closest rival Abu Saeed Sagar of Sada Panel got 2,539 votes.
Advocate Md. in the same position as the president. Yunus Ali Akand got 46 votes and the other presidential candidate former Additional Attorney General Advocate Md. Khalilur Rahman Bablu (MK Rahman) got 229 votes.Blue panel in this position. Ruhul Quddus (Kajal) got 1 thousand 702 votes. Out of the two panels, the editor candidate Nahid Sultana (Yuthi) got 269 votes and the other editor candidate Advocate Farhad Uddin Ahmed Bhuiyan got 60 votes.

Shah Manjurul Haque of the white panel was elected as editor by getting 3 thousand 319 votes.
